terri schiavo

ugh. i have never in my life heard of something so completely and totally inhumane and heartless.

i guess i'm really kind of ticked about this whole terri schiavo thing. ok, ticked is even far down from being an understatement. my mom was furiously pointing at the telly about this news which i haven't heard of last sunday (and to think part of my job is to monitor the broadsheets... so much for "reading" the papers), and just thought it was one of those international news that only affect, well, certainly not the whole world, so i shrugged it off for a while. i thought it was those news that only happen in the US, i mean those people make a big deal out of EVERYTHING. but anyways, everytime i channelsurf and come upon the news, it's all i notice. everyone's talking about terri schiavo. what's up with this bed-ridden woman? so i thought it wouldn't kill me to skip the buzz for a while, and try to clue myself in on what's going on. and O.M.G. it's the most revolting thing EVER.

check out this site to learn more about terri schiavo and her struggles, i can't even bring myself to type down all the details i know of what she's going through. can you just imagine being put through such torture??

http://www.terrisfight.org/

the entire america is up on their toes for this one. geez-us, i mean even their politicians are debating over it. is it actually right to oppose feeding a person, regardless of capacity???? i don't think i will ever comprehend those people. i mean, COME ON! to hell with court orders, just put the damn tube back and get it over with! she's gonna die eventually, but this is certainly NOT how one should normally die. grrrr.... here i go again. i am so fuming over this. i'm kinda thankful i'm brought up here, like i'm really glad. i mean if that happened here, i'm sure no one would even dare think of letting someone die from starvation. who in his right, sane mind would want a loved one dying from such torture? whew, and i thought my country was insane. how ironic, for a moment there, i actually had the tingiest respect for people who've killed just to feed their family. and honestly, that would've been FAR more acceptable, not the other way around.

oh yeah, as of writing, it's her 12th day without getting any food NOR water. imagine.

new baby!!!!

we have a new baby at home!!! delivered today, at around 7 in the evening. weighing about 4 lbs. and the beauty of it, can run up to 5 hours through and through without overheating. came with 30 games too.

wheeeeeeeeee!!!
the new baby

gawd i've waited for this for sooo long. soooooooo long! from the time it came out, i've been wanting to have one, and now, after about 2 (was that 3?) or so years of waiting, it's finally here! she's ours!!!! i cannot believe it took us that long before we finally got one for ourselves. i mean, what were we thinking going on with our lives and NOT having this??? i feel like we've been missing out on SO much, just letting all these wonderful games and hours spent glued on the telly just playing pass us by. whew. but ok, enough talk, the important thing is, we've got one now. and we'll have her for as long as she'll stick with us, which i know is a REALLY long time. coz we're gonna take care of this baby. we're gonna love her like no other!

check out my lunatic siblings barely even noticing i'm taking this pic. up until this time of writing, i still haven't had the chance to play because these two brats are all over it. sheesh.

notice they haven't even changed clothes yet. tsk tsk. and my bro even looks sedated in this pic. wow we've only got her for a few hours and already, we're high on her. haha. oooohhh just they wait 'til i have my hands on her, no one can stop me!!! i've got her all to myself.

great vacation, this one. :)

candy rap awards 2005

this was a fun night! it was held at the expoexchange in greenbelt 1, although we didn't really get to enjoy the event that much because technically, we were still "working" during this time. here are my teammates, the pretty people right by the entrance. haha so much for eye"candies" huh? these are the people i work with in the department.

<-- huwow do i look thin in this picture or what??! gawd my arms are skinny!!!

media relations dept (l-r) sorsi (she isn't from our team, though), moi, kris, and ro

thea was missing in this pic. she's our other teammate. i have no idea where she'd gone to while this pic was shot. there were a lot of kids, too. but i still enjoyed it, so to speak. lotsa stars mingling about, but i was particularly starstruck (pun intended) when i saw this guy. i've been wanting to see him up close so i was really happy when i got the chance to (and had my picture taken while at that).

<--- waaaahhh this guy made my night!!! soooo cute!!!
with super bango, super cute guy mark herras

heeheehee... and i can only say this... he is soooooo bango. i'm not kidding. and not the type of perfume that clogs your nose and suffocates you, the type that's really... gwapo to smell. the scent is so familiar, but i can't put my finger on which one. i'm pretty sure i'll know this scent when i smell it again. i have yet to scour perfume shops to find out. hahaha.

anyways, i never thought artistas wear that much make-up, it makes them look... artificial. they had like, approximately 5 inches of makeup on or something. kinda scary. you'd think they wouldn't need that much makeup because they're already... you know, far beautiful than what's natural. oh but anyways. here are more of the pics taken that night.

myra and i with parokya's main man, chito!

parokya ni edgar performed too and it was amazing. we got a pic with chito, and he's just really down-to-earth, and makes him win even more pogi (?) points in our book. haha! notice the girl in green in the background, that's none other than her girlfriend, kaye abad. oh well.

rockin' it with kjwan's/mtv vj marc abaya

myra really wanted to have a pic taken with marc abaya of kjwan/mtv. ooohhh i wanna show this pic to fifi too, she's a big marc abaya fan as well. she'd DIE when she sees this, haha! they performed at the event, hence, the makeup. i was kinda icky about his makeup at first, mainly because he was sweating already too much by the time this pic was taken, but looking at it, i kinda look the same too. hoo-well. can someone please remind me to check myself in the mirror every after 15 minutes or so?? i look like i just dove my face in a basin of powder or something.

and of course, the finest among the rest...

scene-stoppers myra and moi

hahaha. candygirls in full action! i swear i could have tim yap make a run for his money with my "witty" captions. wahahaha! the event ended rather early (for an event, i mean) but of course it's understandable that there are mostly kids (well not kids kids, but still, they're all pretty young to be spending night-outs yet). my feet nearly killed me, good thing i got an extra goodybag that contained free flipflops, so i used that instead. i wasn't going to walk around greenbelt anyway, i was so ready to go home. caught a ride with myra and her sisters and got off somewhere near my place, and just walked the rest of the way home. whew. i am SO glad this was my first event at summit, at least it wasn't that hard to deal with. i reckon when the REALLY major events happen (i.e. fhm, cosmo bash), we'd really be up our toes all the time. at least i got a feel of what it's like at first. not bad for my first time, i might say *wink*

hehe:)

19 March 2005

shoppa-jolic

yey! my day yesterday didn't end as bad as it started so i was really happy. we went S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G!!! finally, was able to buy stuff of pure necessity. i still get a bit frustrated when i remember yesterday because... ok i couldn't write why in my last entry, maybe i was still too upset, but i guess i'm OK now. my phone got broken. and not just MY phone, the phone the COMPANY lent me. the LCD was completely smashed, and apparently, it costs a lot more to fix a colored LCD. taenaaaaahh!!! it was really no one's fault, purely an accident, but i still get frustrated because it could've been avoided. and it's ok if it was my OWN phone, at least that would give me an excuse to buy a new one, but no. had to be my less-than-a-month old "business" phone.

and here's the freaky part (there always has to be one noh?) i think it was karma. not kidding. earlier yesterday on the bus on my way to work, this guy sitting beside me began talking to me. i didn't mind, not to be rude of course. he was talking to me in ENGLISH, apparently he thought i was foreign (see the bangs really do wonders of deception), so i sorta played along with it, although i made it clear i was purely local. and i think he has a cellphone-tiannge business, you know those tiangges that repair phones and sell casings. and ok, i did lie about the fact that i didn't have a phone when he attempted to ask for my number, and told him a completely different name too. besides, what could be worse than some stranger going on and on about the dramas of his life, not that i ASKED or anything! imagine that. so it was just my polite way of saying "get a life loser, and leave me alone!" don't blame me, i just wanted to shut him up! and i remember him saying minutes before he got off that if i had problems with my phone, to look for his stall in greenhills. so i just waved him off thinking "yeah yeah ok don't think that's gonna happen to me." and then it came true. as freaky as it is. now i'm a believer. damn, should've seen that one coming. galing noh? galing in a frustrating, putang-ina-naman-eh-why-me?? kind of way. IF it was karma, though i still don't get why. not like i was TOO mean to the guy anyway to deserve this! so i don't talk to strangers, big deal! my phone gets smashed, thank you. chaka talaga. chaka-leit.

anyways, we're having the candy event tonight at greenbelt so yehey ulit, i'll be doing something on my saturday night! just hope this day makes up for the shitty day i had yesterday. not fair to feel sulky this weekend. it's a weekend, fer cryin' out loud! ooohh i bought really nice clothes at super bargains that i can't wait to try out. hehehe:) ok the bubble's coming back, really thank god there was a sale!

18 March 2005

series of unfortunate events

i am having the worst day! well, i've had worse but i'm totally feeling sooooo deflated today, of all days. i'm supposed to be tingtangily (sorry, i've been reading too much kids' comics) and giddy since it's my favorite day of the week, it's-friday-i'm-in-love day. but no, i feel like crawling into some mudhole and sulking for the rest of the day. ho-hum. honestly, it's nobody's fault my day hasn't been turning pretty good, i guess it's just the continuous bad (?) luck, if you can even call it such. my very own series of unfortunate events, there you go! gawd i feel so down, not even the ongoing super sale happening outside my office as i type this very instant sparks any excitement. argh. seriously, i feel soooo bad today.

grabe i really need a big perk-me-up. i swear i'll shop my heart out instead, don't care if i spend all of my pay. i'm super pissed. i feel like kicking the wall, but wouldn't advise on that. or clawing someone on the face. more like it. there's lots of them i can do that to here. hehehe. gawd i need to let this out!!! i'm so mad, i swear i can punch ANYONE right now! the first person who looks me in the eye! or some loser who'd check me out. or some girl who makes taray. whatever. the thing is, i can punch strangers on the face... if i really want to.

WAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

....

geez-us, reading through what i just wrote, i sounded like a 10-year old spoiled brat making tantrums. well whaddaya know, maybe psychologically, i still am. speaking of spoiled brats, i've been meeting lots of these. 20++ year old ones. can you say IM-mature? *rolls eyes*

17 March 2005

grabe my eating habits are so off, i feel like i'm eating practically every minute of everyday coz i'm always so friggin' hungry. sheesh. so much for "no rice diet" which i was only able to do for what? 3 months? great, that's still an achievement though, because i just realized there are only 3 things i can't give up in my diet.... rice, meat, and dried mangoes. just about the very food groups that is a surefire to calories and unwanted fat (eck!) goodbye low-rise pants, belly shirts, bellybutton piercing... as if my face couldn't get any chubbier from all the calories i consume everyday! kainis, i really have to watch what i eat, i'm turning out to be those types of monsters that seem to eat anything, edible or otherwise. :(

12 March 2005

it's a saturday night... so why the heck am i HOME!!! i miss dancing, i miss night-outs... *pout* i want to go dancy-dancy. where are my boricua sisters when i need them?!!??!

so far, work's going good. it's been going well, been learning a few tricks, meeting really cool people everyday, so far i can't ask for anything more. for NOW. maybe a really cute guy to crush on in about, say 5 minutes. hehe.

i'm obsessing over flipflops lately. well, summer wear, in general. skirts, tanktops, flats.... jeans! i need more jeans! and sneakers. yeah, that completes my current list of necessities. it's really dangerous to be literally IN a mall every single working day. whew talk about shopping tendencies. but anyways, galleria is having a sale next weekend, and i think i need to charge up my closet a bit. oooh candy event next sat, more reason to shop! yey.

i miss my hair. i cut my hair (i think i mentioned that previously), but i didn't mention that i did an experiment on my own and decided to cut my bangs short. ON MY OWN. well i still think it's cool but i'm kinda having a hard time maintaining it. i miss the old long, straight black hair that i didn't need to fuss about every so often. and besides, i think it was my best asset. hehe. darn why did i have to cut it?

i'm feeling giddy tonight, i forgot why. oh yeah, i just caught hero, sandara, mark and jennylyn do a dance production number TOGETHER. hehe i swear i'm getting more and more baduy every time, but i was so awed at seeing all rival stars on one stage. although hero absolutely looked like a dancing puppet on strings compared to mark (no effort grabe! dancing god! *drool*), hero's still oh-so-uber cute. oh wow i'm gonna see mark herras next weekend. ok, now i have to stop. talk about being downright cheapipay.

wahey, summer's so here. darn if only i could squeeze in a quick beach getaway sometime this season.... that would definitely make up for all the possible weekend gimmicks i've been missing out on lately hehe.

10 March 2005

i am this close... i am THIS CLOSE.... I AM THIS [----] CLOSE TO BUYING A FRIGGIN' iPod!!!! yahooooo i can practically smell it!!! just a bit more wait, just a bit more wait....

06 March 2005

whew. ok, i officially started at new work last tuesday. and so far, so good. can't really say much about it for now since i've barely been there for a week, but all i can say is, it looks like i'm gonna have loads of fun with this one. not to mention being able to hang out with myra and jenny everyday! i'm still in the process of getting a feel of what it's all like, tagging along during shoots, orienting myself with the office protocol, all the system, filing, etc. and guess what?? i actually go to work EARLY! ha i did it! i've been going to work as early as 7am sometimes (i hitch a ride with my tita because she works in the bldg next to galle), or if not, i try to go as early as 8 or 9am so i can catch a ride with my tita going home at 7. it's pretty cool, i just hope i can keep it up, i kinda like being at the office when it's still deserted and quiet, makes me clear my thoughts before everyone starts coming in and things start getting crazy for the day. but honestly, it's really all good, i think this is something i'm gonna stick with for a long time. but for now, i can really say i'm happy at the moment.
