i've been a walking daze for most of the time lately, mainly because i probably left half of my sane and thinking system somewhere on the sands of the beach where i was last weekend (blog with pics to follow ;). so everyday, i feel braindead; forgetting things, walking around looking completely unkempt, and looking pitifully lost. oh well, the things a good weekend can do to you. being back at work doesn't help especially when it was followed by THE most amazing beach vacation to date. but more of that in a later post.
so yeah. back to my daze, wala-sa-sarili self. i had the worst pms early this afternoon, which i'll spare the details of so as not to gross everyone out, but it was so bad that i was literally all crumpled up in my seat for a time. i decided to go to the "posh" restroom all the way up in the fourth floor to freshen up, but still did nothing to ease my sickness. i was so oblivious of my actions, i was basically the walking dead. it wasn't until i went back to my cubicle and decided to make some more calls that i noticed my office phone was nowhere. not the first time i "lost" it, i am so used to misplacing everything, even my precious iPod which i guard with my life, all the freakin' time. i tried calling it using my personal phone and lo and behold! realized i couldn't hear it ringing. hence, it wasn't anywhere in my belongings. i don't know why i didn't panic at all, but i really didn't feel that anything was wrong. after some more rings, an old-sounding lady answered the other end. i asked the stupidest question, which went a little sabog like "uhm, nasa'n ka?" she started asking who i am, and i pointed straight out that that was my phone and i need to know where she is. it was nice of her to really ask lots of silly questions like "saan mo naiwan phone mo?" err, i really don't know, that's why i was calling to find out. "saan ka nagpunta ngayon?" holiday inn, galleria suites CR (y'all go figure out why) "ano'ng ginagawa mo sa hotel?" uhm, you wouldn't wanna know, lady. but seriously, it was nice of her to really interrogate, she was just making sure it was the rightful owner. i was just being such a prick. in the end, i got my phone back. good thing she also works in the mall, just a floor below my office. i guess i still wasn't thinking right, it didn't hit me right away how lucky i am that someone so kind was able to get my phone instead of... a not so kind person. that phone has got my whole office life in it, all the business contacts i've accumulated the past year and whatnot, and to lose it would be a biiig hassle. so thank you ms. bea of quantum travels and tours in the basement level of robinsons galleria across the binggohan. you're such an angel, i don't know what i'd done to deserve that very nice gesture but i really really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. my stoic face doesn't look like it, but i really do appreciate it very much. may the big Boss bless you a hundredfold, for helping such an ass like me.

how i wanna get my groove back
i'm not very good at dancing, one of the biggest frustrations i've always had in life is to dance like a pro. my major dance icons range from britney spears because hell, the girl can move. to madonna, to janet jackson, to j.lo... even to jessica alba after seeing her on honey. i remember back in college, there's this superwoman dancer who always performed during college production shows, and i've always remembered how she moved because she's just sooo good. not just good, jaw-droppingly good. and a big part of me always envied her whenever i watched her dance. she used to imitate j.lo and britney's steps and gave them justice. without even breaking a sweat.
regardless, i love love love working it on the floor. i think the only reason i've loved going to clubs before is the fact that i get to dance my ass off nonstop (during my long ago eastwood phase, for a record of 5 hours straight without even stopping to take a breather) stripped of all inhibitions. there's nothing that pumps me up than shaking every inch of me when a good beat comes on. and now that i've mellowed down a bit and graduated from the all-nighter stage, i'm starting to miss dancing. so much! i can't believe i've changed, i guess my body can't handle that much energy anymore. i can't believe how getting older can just take that all away. although i make do with dancing alone in my room to my iPod songs, but it's still a different rush when you dance all-out, where you can feel all the energy from the people around you, and the darkness that envelopes, and it feels like it's just you and the beat of the music. kinda like a dance faceoff with yourself. no care in the world, no care who's watching. it's just you, your feet, and the beat.
hmm, i think it's because of this that made me think of dancing. i've been eyeing this for a while now, and i can't wait to try it out myself, if only i find the time and luxury to do so.

the nike rockstar workout class is being held exclusively at all fitness first gyms. i don't even have time to walk my dog every night, much more go to the freakin' gym. but this is really really very tempting. i want to have a go at it just because the groove has been missing too long. i'm feeling so bland right now, life needs to up the ante and spice it up a little. and this looks like a good spice-upper :)
